Internship & Career Fair is an annual event organized by Portland State University Career Center, where students can attend group and 1-on-1 sessions with various employers to
ask questions and learn about industries they are interested in.
It was the second year in a row I worked on conceptualizing and designing posters for
the event. From the very beginning I knew that I was going to include in the posters new elements I designed for the Career Center which will eventually become part of their identity (and will be gradually integrated into their other collateral materials). The main new element is the shape of a paper airplane I created in the summer.
Here paper airplane symbolizes a new exciting adventure that can take any direction, but no matter what it always tries to go up. Career path sometimes may be quite unpredictable but for students it also becomes a journey where they learn new skills and take opportunities.
